Support Groups
We can all agree that there are seasons in life that are downright difficult, and that no one is exempt from facing challenge, struggle and temptation. Beechwood holds the firm belief that God desires people to experience wholeness in every aspect of life - emotionally, relationally, physically and spiritually - and that wholeness comes only when we are centered in Christ.
Recognizing that wholeness in Christ is what brings us health, vitality and fulfillment, Beechwood has implemented a Wholeness Ministry, from which we offer a variety of support groups that are geared to meet you where you are at. Grief, anxiety, depression, marital challenges and addiction can prevent us from experiencing wholeness, but joining others in a support group who share similar challenges will bring healing and wholeness.
Below is a partial listing of support groups we offer:
Divorce Care:
This ministry provides a small group atmosphere for people experiencing separation or divorce. Divorce Care is a 13-week, biblical class that takes place on Sunday afternoons and is offered during fall and winter. Please contact the church office for more information.
Grief Share:
Have you been widowed or lost someone close to you? Find support and reassurance by sharing the road with others walking similar paths. This ministry meets at various times in the fall and spring. Please call the church office or Pastor Dawn for more information. Please contact the church office to register.
Alcoholics Anonymous:
This 12-step group meets in the Lodge Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. Please contact Pastor Dawn Vagle to participate.
Parents of Teens Support Group:
If you’re feeling frustrated and alone trying to navigate the waters of adolescence and those teen years, join us for a time of sharing between parents in the same boat. Steve and Karen Brookhouse, who have already been through those storms and have come out on the other side, will reassure and support you in your struggles, along with other parents who will help you to know you’re not alone. Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
